​Low Oxalate Diet

Following a Low Oxalate Diet should only be indicated if ordered by your Doctor.

Cut Back/Avoid these Items:

Breads and Starches: Fruit cake, grits, white corn, soy bean crackers, and wheat germ.

Fruits: Blackberries, blueberries, concord grapes, red currants, dewberries, fruit cocktail, gooseberries, lemon peel, lime peel, orange peel, raspberries, strawberries, tangerines.

Vegetables: Green/waxed/dried/string beans, beats, celery, chard, Swiss, chives, collards, eggplant, endive, escarole, kale, leeks, mustard greens, okra, parsley, green peppers, sweet potatoes, rutabagas, spinach, summer squash, watercress.

Meat and Nuts: Sardines, peanut butter and other nut butters, soy bean curd (tofu), peanuts, pecans, legumes, beans.

Beverages/Juices: Tea, cocoa, chocolate drink mixes, instant coffee (more than 8oz/day), draft, stout, or lager beer.

Oil and Fats: Peanuts oil.

Other: Vegetable soup, tomato soup, chocolate, Pepper (in excess of 1 tsp daily).
