We ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes early to every appointment. For New Patient appointments, your scheduled arrival time will be indicated on the paperwork that is mailed to you prior to your appointment.

There are a few things that need to be brought to your appointments with Kidney Specialists of Central Oklahoma. If your doctor has requested a Blood Pressure log to be kept by you, please bring it with you to your appointment. Also, please bring an up-to-date medication list with you to every appointment. Please be prepared to show your Insurance Card at every appointment. We also may ask for some paperwork to be completed at your appointment; if you would like to complete this paperwork ahead of time you may complete the New Patient Registration on this website.
Currently, our doctor’s schedules are only available for 4 months; as a result of this you may not be able to schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor at checkout. However, you will receive a Reminder Call 3 weeks prior to your follow-up appointment when it is scheduled. If the date and time of your follow-up appointment does not work for you please call the office and we will be happy to find a date and time that works with your schedule. You will receive another Reminder Call 3 days prior to your scheduled appointment and a final Reminder Call the day before your appointment. It is important that you respond appropriately to these Reminder Calls by confirming or rescheduling your appointment with our office.
You can view your lab results by logging into your Patient Portal and going to the “Recent Results” section on the main page. We accept most major insurance providers. You may view a list of our accepted insurances here.
If you have had a recent change in insurance, please call the office as soon as possible and we will update this information in your electronic health record. Please bring your new insurance card with you to your next appointment so that we may add a copy of it to you electronic health record.
Your first step when wanting to refill medications should be to call your pharmacist. If your pharmacist needs something from our office, the pharmacy will contact us.
A typical visit to our office will consist of a reconciliation of your medications, taking of height and weight as well as your vital signs (pulse, blood pressure and respiration), and an examination by your doctor. If you have any questions for your doctor, we encourage that you write them down and be prepared to ask them at your visit.
